Biography
Dr Oguzhan Murat is a Visiting Research Fellow at Oxford Thermofluids Institute (OTI). Dr Murat earned his DPhil in 2022 under the supervision of Prof Budimir Rosic at OTI where he designed and commissioned a novel experimental facility for improved understanding of shut-down regimes and operational flexibility of power generation turbines. His work also involved performing scale resolving simulations for the experimental campaigns. This project was sponsored by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
Following his DPhil, he joined the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics (VKI) as a postdoctoral researcher and project manager, focusing on the experimental aerodynamics of low-pressure turbine engines for aircraft performance enhancement. This project was sponsored by Safran Aircraft Engines. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Engineering at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University.
