Biography
Priyanka Dhopade is a senior research associate working with Prof Peter Ireland and Dr Marko Bacic at the Oxford Thermofluids Institute. Her research expertise is in the field of applied computational fluid dynamics (CFD) of turbomachinery heat transfer, aerodynamics and aeroelasticity. She is currently leading the CFD modelling campaigns for various projects in collaboration with industry partners and research groups relating to:
- Turbine and compressor tip clearance control
- Turbine internal cooling
- Compressor-combustor-turbine interaction
- Active flow control for gas turbines
She completed her PhD at UNSW Canberra under the supervision of Associate Professor Andrew Neely on aeromechanical modelling of rotating fan blades to investigate high-cycle and low-cycle fatigue interaction.
